birth name John or Jonathan?

I just found out my mother had a baby boy up for adoption when she was 15, whose name was John or Jonathan -- That's all I know!! I REALLY want to find him -- I have a half brother and I don't even know his full name! She's not really interested in getting in contact with him, but I am!! My family is very small and torn apart and I need all the relatives I can get. My mom's maiden name is Finnson, but I'm pretty sure whoever my brother is will have had the last name of his adoptive parents (I'm not sure how the process works) but that's all I've got to go on.

So if your name is Jon, John, Johnathan, Jonathan -- any variation of that, and you were born around 1976 (could be 75 or 78, too) pllzz answer.

haha thanks

Smile your search for brother

Hi
You need to check with the Manitoba Post Adoption Government agency to see if you can receive non-identifying information about your brother
I would suggest phoning the following and ask how you go about this,

Post Adoption Registry Manitoba Family Services
in Winnipeg 204-945-4562
Outside Winnipeg 1-800-282-8069
hope this helps,
Shannon

Thank you, sacko!! I checked your profile, and unfortunately, the birthdates of the mother in question don't add up My mother (and the mother of my half-brother) was born in 1960 (Jan 10th) Best of luck on your search!

Do you have any other info?

My husband is adopted and was born in Brandon, Manitoba. His mother was 15.

Do you know anything else?
