Hi folks,

I'm happy to report that I've located my biological mother. We've exchanged one letter each through an intermediary. She seems like a very warm and friendly person, and things look good so far.

I'd like to keep it that way, so I've spent most of the afternoon reading different reunion stories on this site, and wonder if I might hear from the biological moms out there. I'd like to hear how things went from your point of view specifically.

What did it feel like to "be found"? How did you break the news to your family? How did your other children handle the news? How did your parents handle the news?

I understand that each situation is unique, but hearing about your thoughts and fears, and what outcome you desired, might help give me a better idea of what she's going through right now. It will also help prepare me for whatever happens next.
