Unhappy May have found them, but need advice.

Hey guys.. I think I found my birth family. I'm scared though, because this could be it ya know?

Anyways, so my adoptive parents are 100% against this reunion. They're upset, they're angry and they won't even acknowledge the fact that they lied to me for 19 years. Thats a whole other story, that I need help & advice with too.

So my sister, is 2 years older than me and she's awesome. We look alike, act alike and like the same things. It's pretty cool. We have different dads though (no big deal). Now my birth mom, lives about 7-8 hours away from me, she's 41 going on 20 but she's sweet. We're all a little stuck though...

Everything is matching up so far, but we need DNA tests to be sure. They, my sis & mom did it years ago. Sister's birth dad & our mom flew out to Arizona, they all went to a lab and her birth dad paid for the DNA results. Now, sister lives in Michigan, mom lives in Jacksonville, FL, I live in South FL and my potential birth dad? No idea where he's at.

WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? HELP! I'm lost, confused, and I just really need to talk to someone whose done this before!

Hi,

Terribly confusing time isn't it? We all go through and get through it if that helps.

On to dna. You can do it through the mail via a company on line. Google and check out the company. If you are interested in finding out about your father as well make sure you educate yourself on the difference and in that instance try one of the ancestry type sites that does surname projects.

Based on the company I used: One person orders it and swabs/forms are sent to each individual. All individuals will have access to the results on-line via the password sent to them via mail. The ordering person will get the printed results via mail. As your mother will be part of the test I think you only need her but you may need your sister as well to confirm the match.

Best of luck,
Dickons
