Hi all,
It actually only took me a few tries to find my birth mother because she had registered with this site (two years ago). I sent her an email and am awaiting a reply. Thing is, I think she must have remarried or something because the contact info I was given matches someone with a different last name. I did some googling and found that she is very active on some forums on the web. So I can contact her easily. I am worried she may have changed her email and since this site doesnt give you the email address but acts as a mediator I dont know what email I sent the first contact letter to. So, how long should I wait to hear back before trying the other email address? She registered here two years ago and it says she updates the adoption agency. So I mean, she does want contact. I dont know what to do and the waiting is killing me!!!! |

I'd send an e-mail to every possible address I had. This is about the search at the moment. When you have a positive match is the time to use patience. Contact the agency if you know their name. She obviously is looking for you and ready to reacquaint herself with her lost child. Try them all cmd. Leave no stone unturned.

I know it's the right person, it's just that I emailed her thru this site but she hasn't been on here in two years. So she may have changed her email. So should I wait to see if I get a response or try her other email?

Try her other one.....go for it cmd. What do you have to lose? At the moment you have no response so it's time to assume the e-mail used is no longer valid.
Think positive thoughts.....write it..send it....keep your fingers and toes crossed, and keep posting. Ann

Why wait? I would go ahead and try to contact her at any address you have. Good luck.
