I was wondering what everyone thought about this. I sent my Mom an edible fruit bouquet for Mother's day and heard nothing from her. I have talked to her since then on the phone and she never mentioned it. Do u think getting her first Mother's Day present was overwhelming? I still don't feel that bond I was expecting to come over time.

Are you positive that she got it? A friend and I sent an edible cookie bouquet to a friend but she never got it. My bdad sent flowers for Valentines day and it took me 3 days to get them delivered. I got a ripped off piece of paper in my mailbox (easy to miss) saying the flowers were at my neighbors. The neighbors had sent them back because they thought I was out of town but didn't remember who the florist was. Fortunately the husband had read the card - and knew they were from John. Guess how many Johns are in my life - never expected any from my bdad - he was one of my last on my guesses. Calling to say - "did you send me flowers" is not really cool.

She may also have been so flustered when she talks to you, she may think she already thanked you. That has also happened to me.

Can you just ask her about it?

Angel, I am so happy things are going well. I would not allow the bouquet incident work on you...juat ask her, explain you forgot to ask her if she liked it, and was also thinking she may not have recieved it. No big deal, I am a Firstmom, and would want my sons to feel free to ask. I assume you would ask if your mom hadn't mentioned her gift, so do the same with Firstmom...I promise she won't mind. Keep us posted,as a firstmom, you are one whom gives me hope! Happy Holidays!

I too won't let it bother you, Angel - do what cetalley said - ASK!! LOL! She MIGHT not have gotten them... glad to hear all is going well - and hope you guys get to spend Holiday time together!! Keep us updated!!
