My name is Marion and im looking for my two children, Brian Christopher and Jessica Lee Melvin. They were adopted in 1985 by my parents in law who denied contact.They live in or around Smyrna TN. I know through a Family member that Jess is trying to contact me but her efforts are thwarted by m.i.l. I live in Germany so that makes it more dificult to try and make contact. does anyone know how i can get help??

Hi Marion, and welcome to the forums!

Have you tried searching their names on MySpace??? It's a website where SO MANY young people have sites set up to keep in touch with their friends...complete - in alot of cases - with pictures! If you locate them on there, you can send them private messages and begin to correspond with them. Might be a good place to start, and it won't matter whether you live in Germany, or Timbuktu!

Maybe the family member that told you she is looking, can tell Jess that she should look for you on MySpace.

Glad you found her! Isn't she lovely!!!!! Did you log on and set up an account for yourself??? That way, the two of you can correspond every day if she wants!

Talk to the family member that let you know she was wanting contact... let them know that you have an account on MySpace and that she can communicate with you that way! This is so cool!!!!! Let us know how everything's going, hon! Good Luck!
