Michele, cool that you heard from Sabu...I was wondering what was up there. Sounds like it was less intense than maybe it was a while ago...and that it's a good thing.

Things are ok in this neck of the woods. I'm on the road again...seems I always am these days. I'm having the post-visit let down, or the February blues or something...glad March is just around the corner. Guess I'm keeping good company! Also, my amom is having a biopsy tomorrow - keep your fingers crossed that it's NOT lymphoma. I wish I was closer and could be there for her.

There's so much on all our plates these days! Aren't we amazing!!?! Well, I'd like to address each of you, but must be off to bed. Keep well everyone...thinking of you all.

Hello to our LURKERS!!

Work was actually tolerable yesterday! I have a grant to get out in record time . . . so that will keep me a bit occupied. The new job possibility is looking a little hopeful as I understand the pool of applications aren't very good (with the exception of mine, of course! )

Talked to my bro on the phone yesterday. He emailed asking me to do a search for him. I called to get some more details. It was SO NICE to hear his voice. He asked when I was coming to visit again. When I asked when he was available he said, "usually Sundays from midnight to the next Sunday at 11:59" or something close to that indicating ANYTIME . I will try to get up there for a long weekend before the summer is out. And of course, I will probably go for Christmas. But DRIVE this time! (If my new job would allow that).

Best get my hiney into the shower! I have a grant to get out!!

You really needed that grant to be a pressure cooker, huh? I'm glad you've got something to keep your attention going while you wait to hear about the new job! I know what you mean about hearing Lee's voice and how nice it was. It's been a while, no? He's so sweet to say that you can visit anytime....me thinks he's elated that you two have come together.

It was nice to talk to Sabu too, because it's been a while. He still get's my birthday wrong but that's ok...I think he gets it wrong because Carla had me at 1:20 a.m. and in his mind it was the night before. He was probably drinking then too . He's sweet but I can only take him from a distance. Is that awful? I know it sounds horrible but I still feel that way. I'd like to meet his sister though, the one that's two years older than me. I think we look a lot alike. At the same time, it makes me nervous. Ahhh, the rollercoaster of the century.

Gotta do laundry, what else is new?

Good Morning everyone! Hi to my sisters in funk!! Must be something in the wind... or the water... or the season... bunches of us have got "it". Weather keeps teasing me around here... one day it's beautiful...65 degrees...warm and sunny... and 2 daze later, it's flurrying. Small wonder everybody's all congested and twangy... I am SO READY for spring!

Janet...nice to see you pop in... I was wondering about you the other day when the news was talking about all of the tornadoes out your direction...was hoping youwere not in harm's way. Neat that you were on a scuba diving trip... also, that nothing happened while you were away is good news. Did y'all start your dives a little earlier this year than last?? Hey there, Aura! I'm sorry you're still going through the ringer with Bre and her illnesses. These Dr.'s have GOT to straighten this 'stuff' out for the poor little sweetie...you shouldn't have to pull her out of school because she keeps getting ill...what if this was 1st grade... or 4th grade... it would be much harder to hold her back a year at that point. I realize that it's not at a 'critical' stage in her school years yet...but it WILL be at some point soon. Have they looked into her built-in antibodies??? Have they checked her immune system capabilities? I hope it's not Harley...but, I don't think an animal allergy would have these effects on somebody. Prayers being sent for all of you, Aura... hope something improves SOON!

Prayers also being sent up for your Amom, Tryna...I hope her biopsy is 'normal'. Just going through one is traumatic enough... been there, done that. And I agree : we ARE amazing!!! ALL of us! Going through so much... on top of the normal everyday things, the reunion 'stuff' can be overwhelming at times. We all do an amazing job at retaining our dignity... our very sanity at times... and our ability to step outside of our 'comfort zones' in an attempt to get the BIG PICTURE! Kudos to all of us, if I do say so myself...and I just did!

Michele...how funny I mentioned Sabu and you heard from him! I'm glad it wasn't as 'strained' as some of your other conversations. I remember you thinking he was stuck in the past where Carla was concerned...and kept reminiscing in an unhealthy way. I hope things continue to improve there... he seems like he kinda needs you in his life...ya know what I mean?! And I KNOW you have room in your life and heart for him! Tammi,
just so that you know it ended up being 18''. The weather forcasters missed the first storm. They ended up saying 2-5 and we got nailed with 9". Then the second round came with another 9 incher. Wow! (Somebodies going to be sore.) On the other hand, I am still tring to clean up this stuff. I have 4 ft. drifts everywhere and have gotten the plowtruck stuck 2 times and close several other times. I am now going around with the frontend loader on the tractor and getting the rest.
Well I gotta go for now.

Summer's just around the corner...maybe I should pass on the cake and go outside and RUN instead! It is soooooooo beautiful today... must be 60 degrees and the sun is so warm on my face. I sat outside with my face turned up towards the sun for about 45 minutes before the cool breeze 'got' to me... it's getting better and better!

Kiddos are getting home from school...better go and rustle up some healthy snacks...yeah, whatever THAT is!!!

Thanks for the wishes girls. It was Sunday Tam Tam and I spent it in the gym again. This time the end of the year tournament for the League. We won the whole shabang by 2 tiny tiny points! Very exciting. Out of 18 teams, we placed 1st, and a lot of our guys placed...4 of them champions! Drew took 4th out of the 18 in his weight class - not for nothing but he would have been seeded higher if he had not missed 4 matches (I know I know, excuses) but seriously...they had a great year and my big fat but is kinda flat from sitting on those bleachers until 7:30 p.m. In the end it was a good birthday...they got another huge trophy...I attached some braggin rights!

Pass the cake and let's go power walking sistas!
