I was illegitimate. Father State Police Trooper in WV stationed in Clay County, 1951. He was married w/one child. I was born and then he and his wife had another girl and boy.

In my early 20's I contacted my paternal grandfather - was accepted by him. Attended his funeral. My father died in 1979, attended his viewing.

About 8 years ago called up his son (my half brother) after hearing on the news he was in a car accident. I told him I had to know how he was and told him who I was. He wanted to meet me.

We arranged for a meeting. He seemed so excited and wanted to keep in touch, etc. We took pictures, etc. He went straight to his mother and told her and I have not heard from him since.

I have moved over 2000 miles away and have lost contact with him. I can only hope he will want to contact me again (and will be ABLE to). I would like to meet my 2 half sisters.

His neighbor swore I was the oldest sister and he told her I was not. He couldn't believe it.

If we look so much alike, it would be neat to see.

I have often wondered if there are not more offspring out there in my situation who I am related to.

I would love to have a civil relationship with my 3 half siblings and can only hope that one day, perhaps after their mother passes away, they will contact me.
