OMIGOSH GUYS....i'll bet some of you find this funny....I had my bmothers cell number and kept getting that stupid recording...well....my husband suggested I try it again today and of course I did...well...I dialed the number on speaker phone and then when it said it was sending the call to voice mail I picked up the receiver...well...I heard her voice for the first time and then hung up the phone and proceeded to freak out...I didn't leave a message...well...I thought I didn't. As I mentioned I dialed on speaker phone and so the button was still pushed when I "hung up"....so on my bmoms machine...who've i've been waiting to talk to for my entire life...it says "OMIGOD BABE I HEARD HER VOICE >>SHE SOUNDS LIKE ME>>>SHE SOUNDS LIKE ME>>OMIGOD"...yeah. So I guess we'll have something to talk about when I do get her on the phone...that is if she doesn't block my number thinking I'm a crackhead! MAN oh MAN...I imagined this moment my whole life and it was not like this. PLEASE give me your opinion...Em

Hey sweetness! Breathe. Relax. You'll be ok. I bet she'll laugh. I laughed while reading your post. Not b/c I think you're a "crack head", but b/c I could just picture you and your hunny after you figured out what had just happened. I think it's so very cute. You'll always have this really funny first contact story that you can cherish and laugh about forever.

As more time goes by I'm starting to feel so good about it actually. It shows alot of my personality and now I have a really good thing to kind of break the ice when I do get her on the phone. No letters exchanged and I got the number from her mother. I've been speaking with her sister and mother for about a week! woooooooo..it's gonna be okay!

Nope...nothing yet...i never left a normal message on her maching so I'm about to do that. I did just want to get a hold of her but her phone is never on....ALWAYS the voice mail. So i'll call and leave a message saying I will try her back tonight. Maybe she'll keep that phone on.

Well...called and left a message. Her phone is weird. You can leave a voice message or a number to call back and an option to make your message urgent or not. Weird huh? I've never had a cell phone with so many choices on the voicemail. A little intimidating....kinda like ordering at starbucks for the first time Except that instead of lowfat carmel latte I went with my phone number, immediate delivery , and urgent. We'll see how that works out for me. Man oh man
