I had a long hard search, but I had alot of help. Help from my birth mother, and someone online here. I had the name of my birth father finally, and where he grew up.

He has passed away though, which I regret that I never got to meet him, but however, I have found (maybe) my half brother and sister. I wrote a letter snail mail to someone who knew the family my birth father lived with when he was younger. They wrote to my great aunt and she told my half brother and sister about me, and my half brother Robert emailed me one day. I look alot like my birth father, and some like my half sister.

We talk online, I've known them for a week and few days. they are wonderful people they are younger than me and they DID NOT EVEN know I existed, they were never told about me, so they never searched for me. We are waiting to do a DNA test on a tv show or some other way to make double sure.

It's exciting and thrilling and worth searching. I've done it for a really long time. It takes time, and someone out there knows of your situation and one day maybe they will come out with it....don't give up looking, it's worth it MOST OF THE TIME. In my search it was anyways.

My Wife is also looking for her Father he is on her Birth certificate Robert Wayne Bauer Occupation US Navy rank RM/3 he was born around 1938 in wahington we dont know where he married my wifes mother Nelda cartwright and they lived in whitter California her mother ran away with the kids in the night and never told the kids anything of there father we have pictures of them all standing on a submarine in california he is a very tall man which would make him stand out my wife was born 11/21/1958 Robert was 20 yrs old on the birth certificate which would put him at around 70 yrs old
We live on a lake and are very well off she just wants to know about her father she has a large void in her heart and thinks and wonders of him often.
Nancy my wife was the oldest of what we guess to be three kids but we are not even sure of that her brothers Name is Robert Wayne Bauer also and her sisters name is Joline Bauer which we know the where abouts of and have contact with, we have children and grand children also, If you can help please contact us
