what would you want your daughter to say in a letter?
I am posing this question to all bparents out there because I want to write a letter to my bparents so that it will be ready when I find them. I just want input from bparents about what they would want to read in a letter from their daughter. I am 21 years old and there is so much I want to say, but I'm not sure what I should say and how I should say it. Please leave as many suggestions as possible because I want so desperately for this to come out right. Thanks so much for any ideas you all can give me.

If I could get a letter just saying what you just did my heart would leap.

KT ~
Just be yourself. If your birth parents are inclined to want to meet and know you, nothing you say will discourage them. If they choose to reject a reunion, remember it's not you personally they're rejecting - it's the concept of revisiting the past. Sometimes the letters that are drafted on the spur of the moment are the most honest and heart felt. Too much editing and it could end up sounding too perfect to be real. Good Luck Trish |

Get solid in yourself. Enjoy your life. That will come across in your letter. Jackie |

A letter....
Like someone else wrote=just to get ANY letter would be a gift. I would want my letter to give a phone number and email address and anything resembling an invitation to use either!!!!

Everything!
I would want to know everything about her! About her personality, the way she looked, her hobbies and interests. Her favorite color. Everything. Including pictures would be the icing on the cake (the best part).
I wish you the best of luck, as always for the people I have gotten to know here.... fingers are crossed! |

You'll do fine.
KT,
Don't worry....anything will do the trick. I am a birthfather 5 months into a reunion with my 22 year old daughter. She sent an e-mail to another member of my family and asked her to pass it along to "the other person involved" We now laugh about her referring to me in that way. She stated that as she got older she felt it necessary to "open the lines of communication" Personally, I was delighted to get the letter no matter what it said. I just wanted to meet her and get to know her and tell her how much I had been thinking of her. We are now in the process of doing just that. Best of luck to you ...I am sure it will turn out fine Bobby |
