Hi. Just wanted to give everyone here the opportunity to watch my reunion story. It's pretty remarkable. It'll be on 20/20 tonight at 10PM. Check out the summary here:
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/2020/...ion030502.html (No, this isn't SPAM. I am the adopted child referred to in this story. I just thought everyone here might be interested in it...) Peace and good luck to you all, Last edited by oneluckykid : 05-02-2003 at 11:10 AM. |

Thanks for sharing
Ben
Thanks for sharing your story with us. I am a birth mother that has kept this situation to myself for thirty one years. When my birth daughter contacted me I used your story on TV as an instrument to open up the lines of communication to share my reunion with my husband and children. Needless to say it was very revealing, and I just can't find the words to express myself at this time. I sure could relate to the things your birthmother said and did at that time. When your that young and are faced with such circumstances that are so overwhelming, and have to make such important choices, (when most kids your age are concerned about what outfit to wear tomorrow) it's a difficult thing. Just Thanks, I hope things work out for you all. Lindalou |

You're THAT Ben??
I missed your story on 20-20 but I did read it in Parade. OMG, that is THE MOST amazing story I have EVER read!
(I am also an adoptee reunited with my birthfamily but I did it the hard way - by hiring a PI!) I met my birthfamily about a year ago and all my friends have been following along with me. After I read your story I had to share it with everyone. Incredible!!!! I'm glad you found us here. The story I read focused on your relationship with your sister. How are things going with your Mom? I wish I could have seen the 20-20 spot! Best wishes, Sonata |
