I am trying to help a friend of mine to find his birth parents. From what I can recall of what he's told me he was born in Portland Maine 4-6-71 and was adopted shortly after. His birth parents were Floyd Kelley and I don't recall the mothers name but she was listed as a Kelley as well. I believe this was all a private adoption and the gentleman who handled it was either from saco or biddeford area(i think saco). My friend Chuck was diagnosed with Chrons disease years ago and he has pondered back and forth on if he wants to try to locate the Kelley'S only because he is afraid of rejection. He has NO contact with his adoptive family The Halls. He has agreed to allow me to search and if I find them to see if they will talk with me some first as to avoid him getting rejected. That way if they don't want contact I never have to tell him I found them.
I have searched on and off for the last 10 or so years and i just am running low. because of his uncertainty and the fact that he is currently incarcerated it is not easy convincing him to track down records to go off. So I'm turning to sites in hopes that maybe just maybe someone is out there that may know something.

I took it upon my self to do a Floyd Kelley search for you. Here it is.... FLOYD KELLEY in ZabaSearch People Search Engine

A couple of points to note. 1) Do you have a birth year for his father. This site will help narrow down all the unlikely matches because it lists the years the subjects listed were born. 2) Are you sure Kelley is not spelled "Kelly"? There were a ton listd that way too. 3) There are no Floyd Kelley's listed in Maine right now which means they moved. The search link I sent you above includes the entire U.S.

You could also try searching on sites like classmates.com to reunion.com. My father was listed on both. Since its free and many use them for school reunions, its not unlikely that you may find him there too.

Thanks very much I will try those sites, hadn't even thought of looking there. The spelling of last name is the way Chuck was told so I'm hoping it is correct. He hasn't got any paperwork on any of this so it's hard. But I will check your suggestions and thanks for the site too. all help is appreciated!!!!!!
