about me!
I've talked to one cousin and one sister on the phone! An email from another cousin (sister of the one i talked to on the phone) she does the family genealogy and wanted my info (and my husbands and boys) to add us to the family tree!!! The sister I talked to, told the oldest of the three girls!
They all saw some pictures I posted at picasa and are stunned at the resemblance!!!

I have pictures of all three sisters. We all look very much alike. Which leads me to wonder if their dad is my bio dad... *shrug*

The two oldest girls are telling the youngest one this weekend. I'm wondering if I'll hear from any of them.

The middle sister (the one I've spoken with) emailed my Wednesday to make sure the bad weather/tornadoes here didn't affect me. She said she worried all day after hearing about them!

I'm still in shock I think!
It's been just over a week, yet it seems longer...

My birthmom died 17 years ago and she NEVER told the girls anything about me. They hadn't a clue she was pg. (mostly because I was a preemie)

There is also a brother that was given up for adoption. He was born in 64. His adopted mom was a friend of their mom. She found the girls a few years ago and he is a spoiled, co-dependent alcoholic.
After dealing with him, the oldest sister was wary of meeting another sibling, but the middle one told me she was happy to say i'm NOTHING like him!

My family is soo happy that I've found the girls - and extended family! They've always supported any attempt in finding them. They keep asking when we girls are going to get together

How WONDERFUL! I reunited with my bmother, bsibs and extended bfamily 6 1/2 years ago and can say that one of the most incredible things about it is my bond with my siblings. I grew up with an older brother (also adopted) but have never been close to him so having the strong bonds that I have with my bbrothers and bsister has been fantastic. I wish you well in this reunion...keep up all posted... sal

Oh, I can feel your excitement! I have been reunited with my brothers and sisters for over 7 years and it has been one of the most wonderful things in my life. I, like Sal, grew up with an adopted brother and we were never close. In fact, I haven't heard from him in many years. For the first time in my life, I feel like a "real" sister!

Have a wonderful reunion and a "rest of your life" bond with your new family!
