elderly bdad - need advice
I am wondering if any of you found your bdad and he is elderly. Did you contact him? How did it go? Was he happy to know that he had a child he never knew about even at this late stage? Or was he very upset?
How did you go about telling him? |

I have not had this experience but as a nurse I have worked with seniors for many years. I have found that old people are much like young people. Their bodies have just aged asuming that there is no mental imparment. The odds of being well recieved are probably the same as with any other age man. If he does know about you and has a concience- contact might give him peace.
I would proceed with caution around any half siblings who might think your late appearance might affect their inheiritance. I would also be discrete if he was married to someone other than bmom at the time you were concieved. Last edited by Patty-cake : 10-04-2006 at 03:30 PM. |
