Hi everyone,

2 hours ago I phoned my mums birth brother but he had gone to work so I spoke to my aunt, his wife and we had a good old chin wag. I cant believe it. Its such a shock. I feel strange too like all excited and full of lots of energy. Lol. Its so strange.

My mum is over the moon but scared of rejection. She spoke to her sister in law and she told us they never knew about my mum. But my mums brother was told by his uncle (BMOMs bro) that there is a sister out there who was put up for adoption because she was so badly brain damaged she wouldn't surive.

My mum has brain damage but not major. Shes physically and mentally fine just a bit slow sometimes but in a sweet way. They seemed really shocked that she had a daughter (me) but were happy and are very glad to talk to us.

Mums parents are both dead and it does look like they are full siblings. One brother and three sisters. Numerous cousins and one great aunt. Big family. Tis great.

Am I being silly by having doubts for me and my mum that we're getting out hopes up and are going to be rejected? I dont want my mum rejected. Its not fair on her. *sigh*

They live 150-200 miles away and there oldest sister (one year younger than mum) lives far away and my aunt seemed a bit strange about telling her about my mum. Bit concerned about that incase shes got some sway with the family.

Also Im annoyed because mum was adopted in 45 and in 46 she gave birth to another daughter. Its not fair but I suppose thats what happens.
