Father's Day?

Advice please!

Father's Day is coming round and I need a little advice. I'm in reunion with my b-father for three months, things are going ok, although I think were're in the 'let's stand back and see what happen's ' stage.

OK, so the advice? To send or not to send a father's day card? One with Dad on? One with something else? What about a gift?

As i don't really 'know' him as yet, I don't know what he's 'into' so a gift might be too much.

Would like some idea's from people who've been there!

Ellie xx

Wink Birthdad's Father's Day

Ellie-Michelle,
Congrats on reunion! I will bet there hasn't been a day gone by that your bdad hasn't thought of you. If you don't feel like a card that is appropriate for your situation, a heartfelt letter would probably make his day. I know my husband(and bdad)would love a card from our little angel to honor his special role in his life

Something that I've started doing for unique situations (where Hallmark doesn't have a card) is making homemade cards. You can pick up card-stock paper at most craft stores, especially ones that carry scrapbooking stuff. You can glue a photograph to the front. Most copy places have colour photocopiers that make great copies of pictures, and then they are on regular paper and not too thick. Then you can make the message your own.

For people who I'm not sure I have a lot to say and am feeling daunted by the blank space in the card, I make the picture into a postcard. Much less writting space!!

I KNOW!!

Hey Ellie - I was just freaking out about that! I really love my BF but (met him 3-4 weeks ago). I don't feel right about sending a fathers day card to him. Isn't it just a Hallmark holiday anyway?

What do you think about sending a card now that's like - Glad we met - maybe it could be a funny picture card with blank inside and that's all that needs to be said?
