Are you looking?
After spending way too much money on private search companies, we found my husband's birthmother on our own. The search companies didn't help us out at all. But be forewarned, your birthparent may not want to have anything to do with you (as in my husband's case), and in his words, "it's like getting rejected twice by the same mother".

I am not sure how people ( B-moms ) can just not want anything to do with the children they choose to give life too. I am a b-mom and it is to soon for me to look I think. My son will not be 18 for another year. I hope and pray he will want to meet me - i would love to meet him and his A-parents. Could you tell me where I would start when the time is right ?
I am scared of the rejection and i am so sorry to hear that happend in your case. I am however happy to hear that you did want to, gives me some sort of hope. Clmsie@adelphia.net ps- thank you for posting.

How to find out the adoption agency used
I have had no luck in finding out which agency was used when my mom(deceased 2002) gave up my 3 younger brothers for adoption, i have contacted the welfare dept and they refuse to tell me yes or no, i also contacted catholic charities, since the boys were born in a catholic hospital, but again they refuse to tell me anything. I am an older sibling and i have the non id info on the boys, 2 of them even have their original birth certificates still on file at the health dept, so somebody goofed and didnt have them sealed i guess. I started searching 5 years ago when i got my first computer, hoping my mom would live long enough for me to find them, but unfortunately she died of lymphoma last year, but i told her i would never give up, i just dont know how else to search, i am disabled and cant afford to hire someone, and i have registed with the ISRR, but nothing. How can i find out which agency was used in the adoptions, i know my mom was on welfare at that time also, but again, they refuse to help me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ok i have little info on my sister but i do know this..... moms name GEORGIA MIKLUICH sister was born july 7 1966 or 67 at conley hospital in kansas city mo adoption was done though jackson co catholic charities we do know she stayed in adoption for about 6 months before she was adopted i think adoptive parents were from nebrska if you can me contact me at my email shelleyport2@aol.com thank you so much
