Lent is coming fast
Easter is early this year. What sort of things do you and/or your church have planned to observe Lent this year?

We will start on Shrove Tuesday (feb.5) with a sausage and pancake dinner followed by an informal service.
Ash Wednesday will be observed with imposition of Ashes an Holy Communion. Each Wednesday there will be a "Soup 'N Service." Members will take turns providing soups and desserts for a light meal. Then we will have a Bible Study on Acts and end the evening with a vespers service. Holy week we will have services on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

I cannot believe that tomorrow is Ash Wednesday already. Our church ill have two wervices (2:00 and 7:00) where we will have the Imposition of the Ashes. I am planning on attending both. The first one for me, and the second one with my kids (the three older ones). The kids really want to attend, but I get more out of it spiritually when they aren't with me.
