Question My mother passed away, looking for younger half brother from LA

Hi My name is Holly,
I just found out that my deceased mother had given birth to a son in Baton Rouge... She was deaf and could not drive but lived twenty miles from the hospital. She was hitch hiking every other day to go see him... The state said she abandoned him and removed her rights. She was devastated! Her name was Bonnie Erwin- Jackson. The father did not want the child. Our Family tried to find him but the state would not let any of our family even know anything about his whereabouts. I was 12 years old when he was born, I am now 31. Our mother passed away from cancer in Houma, LA when I was 14. I just want him to know that he has other famiy and that we have not given up on him. I dont have much more information other than that... I am sorry...this was late in the year about 1986. Sorry so long.
Thank you for reading this and for any info you might have.
PS. THis photo is of myself at 5 years old with my mom.
Her Maiden name was Bonnie Sue Williams Her married Name(S)
Were Erwin and Jackson she is originally from NM.

Help on your search

Please see my suggestions listed above under the subject "Girl Born 6-3-84..." Although they are written by an adoptee (myself) for an adoptee, you can use all of the same resources to search for your brother. Best of luck.
