Please don't be scared because of my posts. My child was not 'put up for adoption,' my husband and I fought like crazy to keep her away from her neglectful, drug-addicted bparents. Unfortunately, we spent the better part of 2001 dealing with two completely selfish, childish teenagers and their issues. Our situation has improved greatly since the parental rights were voluntarily (in the end) surrendered. We even spent part of Christmas Eve with bmom and her family and it didn't make me sick! The bmom is using the excuse of "birthcontrol made me crazy" as to why she made our situation so difficult financially and legally--and yes, we have no idea what that was supposed to mean! I have several friends who have made adoption plans and their situations are incredibly wonderful! One friend even gets time alone with her birth son! My situation is unique because it was family. Adoption is a wonderful miracle and I wouldn't change anything that has happened because it brought my daughter to me!
