NC Adoption Law

I would suggest you contact a knowledgeable attorney in Georgia, who can guide you through the process. He/she can also arrange for an attorney in NC, in the event one is needed for relinquishments, court apearances, etc., in NC. (A NC attorney will also be helpful in arranging release of the child from the hospital, and so forth.)

You will need to have a homestudy performed in GA, and your attorney there can help you decide how to arrange that.
