Legal Issue Mexican National Adoption
My friends were down in Mexico last weekend and they ran across this young lady who is about 17 or 18 and pregnant. She's pretty much living on the streets and she will be giving her baby up to an orphanage probably at birth.
My question is this... is it legal for my friends to have her come stay with them until the baby is born, here in the US, making the baby a US citizen and then have the birth mom sign over adoption? I don;t want to even suggest it if it's illegal. I know adoption out of mexico is very rare, but if the mom comes here then???? |
