Exclamation We need you

Hello,

My name is Hermionnne. My husband and I are lds and french, in France. My husband is sterile. We are trying to adopt but it is very difficult. We don't know if we will succeed, and we dream of a big family.
We need help, because we don't know where to put our question. We would like to know what the Church thinks of the gift of sperm. Is this a sin? Can you answer us? If not, please, can you say to us where we can get information? Nobody in France can answer this question. And we need really to know, because we don't want to make a sin.
We thank you much.

If you go to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you can find the exact answer there.

As far as I know, it is not considered a sin in any way. It is discouraged, but not considered a sin.

Thank you very much for your answer. But I didn't found an information on this site. Perhaps because it is difficult for me to search in English (the French site isn't so complete). Could you please say to me more precisely where is the answer?
I thank you really much.

Sperm donation

According to the Bishop's Handbook of Instructions it is discouraged. It does not say that it is a sin or forbiden.

If it was considered a sin you would be able to easily find it on the site. This falls in the category of "personal revelation". The church discourages it, but allows you to make up your own mind. Pray about it.
