Birth Father Looking for Daughter 1975
Hello,
I am looking for information about a daughter I conceived out of wedlock in 1974. The adoption was handled by the LDS church. The girl would have been born in the spring or summer of 1975 in Montgomery County, VA. This includes the towns of Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford. Today, she would possibly be tall, with dark hair and brown or hazel eyes. (Features her mother and I shared.) I must admit that I do not know to what end I am searching. She has been in my thoughts and heart for 34 years. I just want her to know that she is loved and cherished and that giving her up for adoption was done out of love. |

Hello,
Unfortunately I don't have a month or day. It was such a long time ago but I believe, if memory serves me, it could have been anytime between February and May of '75 though I could be off. The baby was conceived during the summer of 74. I remember the evcents of finding out about the pregnancy but have had a hard time placing it accurately in time. Her birthmom and I lived in Nevada but the baby was born in Virginia where the birthmom's parents took her to relatives for the pregnancy and birth. I do know the birthmom was gone that fall and winter of 74-75. Other than being asked to sign the adoption papers by LDS Social Services, which I initially refused to do, I was left completely out of the event and did not see the birthmom again. I have recently made contact with her birthmom and we are having friendly e-mail conversations and building/renewing a friendship. She has been hesitant to provide me with any more information. I won't assume to know why. I'm sure that was and has been a very emotional time for her. Last edited by Looking4Daughter : 03-16-2009 at 03:16 PM. |

Hello,
I do not know much about my adoption other than I was adopted two weeks after my birth, which was February 11th at Radford Memorial Hospital. My adopted parents do not know who the biological parents were, nor do they remember who handled the adoption. I am 5"8' with dark brown hair and hazel/grey/green eyes. I have freckles as well. Good luck with your quest. |
