Iso birthmother/female 10/27/89 Renton, WA
I'am helping my neice find her birthmother. My neice has obtained her non identifying info through LDS Social Services. The adoption took place in WA state, and we are at a brick wall trying to find any info about her birthparents. I would greatly appreciate any info on where to obtain any information or what steps my neice needs to take in order to help her find her birthmother.

I was placed my daughter in December and most likely had met your nieces birth mother in the support group at the LDSFS. Facebook has a support group for Seattle birthmoms and one of the LDS Social Workers who works with birth moms is in that group. That may be a start, the birth mother may even be part of the group as well.
I believe in our state the birth parent and/or adoptee can go to the state records in Seattle and sign a form to open their portion of the closed adoption record. Once both parties have done so, than the state will provide original and adopted information. Good Luck, Joy |
