More Information About My Adoption...READ PLEASE!
My adoption was handled by LDS Social Services in Utah. I have an very detailed report about the adoption, which give lots of great details, but nothing that identifies biological parents. Here are some of the high points:
Born at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, March 20, 1974 at 2:42am. Attendant was William R Adams MD of Salt Lake City. Biological father might have been from Puerto Rico or at least traveled there, maybe for business. He was in his mid thirties, owned a Porsche and lived with his ex-wife and 6 year old daughter at the time of my birth. May have had heart problems and had surgery shortly after my birth. Biological mother was 19, lived away from parents, who didn’t learn about the pregnancy until last month or so. She might have been working in a factory and received some type of welfare. She also was not sure about giving me up or keeping me. Her family encouraged her to go to LDS Social Services, but even after my birth she left me in the hospital and would not release me for four weeks. Last documented entry suggested that biological father and mother had gotten back together and planned to sue to get me back (reportedly bio-father’s brother was an attorney). I am now a father and I would really like to have medical history for myself and my children; especially if there is a history of heart problems. Contact would be interesting, especially with known ½ sister or others siblings, but not the primary reason for search. I am willing to move slowly with any contact or other reuniting, there is no rush. Lots of holes I would like to eventually fill in, but ok if it never happens. Please email with any information, even the smallest would be great! New email:mojomugs@gmail.com |
