ISO Bmom girl 10/13/71 Bellingham WA LDS social services

My wife was born in Bellingham WA October 13,1971 she was adopted soon after through LDS social services. We have 3 children and wanted to at the least check on medical records for our childrens benefit. She also gave a baby up for adoption through LDS social services about three months before we got married I was there when they took her boy away so we both understand both sides of the adoption thing and don't want to be intrusive on your life. I fully expect that her son will someday contact us and am totally comfortable with it and our three children know about him as well. If anyone has and info. please contact me at

Non-Identifying Information

Hi-
Don't know if your wife is still searching or not but has she ever sent for non-identifying information (non-id)? She can get it from the following places:

1. County where the adoption was finalized (usually same county where adoptive parents lived).

2. Adoption agency, if one was involved.

3. DSHS, if they were involved.

You should request non-id from all places possible.

You also have the option of hiring a Confidential Intermediary in WA to search for your birth family. There are pros and cons to this so investigate before spending the money.

One more thing - there is a free Yahoo group that helps people searching for birth family in WA State. All you need is a Yahoo email account. Here's the URL: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/washin...adoptionsearch

Good luck with your search!
