|
hosting and adoption
we are going to host this summer and wondered what the travel requirements were for Lativa for adoption. looking into an older chil 9-10. any advice would be appreciated.

Hi! Latvia requires 3 trips for adoption. The do however let the children return with you on the first trip on a temporary visa while you complete the process. Children under 12 do not have to make the 2nd trip and only one parent must make that trip however the child must return the third trip to finalize with the US Embassy in Latvia.
We are traveling at the end of this month to bring home our girls ages 10 and 11 that we hosted this past summer. Best of luck to you!
