Speech Therapists are available in some schools at no charge

hi Everyone:

Did you know in some states well qualified speech therapists are availabe to help your children at no charge? In some states there are pre-school programs that start prior to kindergarten.

The therapy is held on campus at local public schools.

Warm regards,

Lightbulb Speech Disorder

Hi Shannon. A speech disorder can range anywhere from mispronouncing "s" and "th" to neurological problems causing speech problems--to deafness. All of which are speech disorders caused by many different things

My daughter has a speech disorder. she is 2 1/2 and still olny says about 15 words she has perfect hearing. She shows signs of aspergers syndrome but also shows that she could be delayed. It is very hard to deal with but also she is worth it. She goes to speech therapy and occupational therapy. I can only say that if youare thinking of adopting a child that is like she is you should think about your pateince level. I would have her all over again but I can say every day is a challenge.
