Costs of program
Hi,
Can someone tell me how much they spent approximately, or expect to spend approximately? Also how long are the two trips and do both have to travel? Is an escort option possible? Thank you

Hi Jackie!
The average I would say for Kyrgyzstan (including travel) is between 35k and 40k. Different agencies have different rules about the travel but I'm pretty sure that most require both parents to travel for the first trip but only one needs to go for the second. Our ageny requires 2 weeks in country for the first trip and about 10 days for the second trip. Again, other agencies might be different. There is also a Yahoo group of us who are in the process or have adopted from Kyrgyzstan that is a great resource!! Best Wishes!! Kathy

Why is it so expensive?? It seems China has the least expensive program but the wait time is so long!

Most agencies were telling me the reason why Kyrgyzstan is so expensive is because that country requires two trips and the processing fee can be quite high.
