Hi all! I was excited to see this forum. My husband and I are working on adopting from Kyrgyzstan and there is not too much info out there that I can find. May I say that is a beautiful little girl you have in the post below! I am so excited to be here and to have found people to share this journey with.

I am just starting the process too. I just finished my homestudy and am waiting on my background check. I am working with adoption alliance. I think I have almost exhausted the internet resources. anyone have any good websites to visit. I really liked this one:

How far along are you in the process? Are you working on your dossier? I haven't received the list of dossier requirements yet....I just can't wait to start compiling, notarizing and authenticating things! There are 2 blogs I have read of families adopting from kyrgyzstan. One has already traveled and brought their child home and the other is awaiting a referral. If you haven't seen them and would like the addresses - let me know and I will find them again.

I would love the addresses. I checked out that other website you listed and under the adoption link on the left there are some real discrepancies - makes me a little concerned. We are just starting our homestudy as well and have begun compiling a few dossier documents. I'm actually finding it more fun than difficult.

I noticed that that particluar website definitely is negative toward adoption from kyrgyzstan - but it was written a while ago and there has been a lot of change in the last year even the last 6 months. the other addresses are

Hi all,

I am excited to join this board in addition to the yahoo group for those adopting from Kyrgyzstan. I think the way it is spelled there is Kyrgystan if you have trouble finding it if you want to join. We are just starting to fill out our dossier and have the homestudy behind us, but don't have i-600a clearance yet. My goal is to finish the dossier by Christmas.
