Family size waivers?
Just wondering if Korea will waive the restriction of no more than four children in the house if a family adopts a special needs child? I know that China often will but haven't seen any mention one way or the other about Korea's policies.
We are open to known mild to moderate correctable or uncorrectable special needs as well as medical risk placements but already have five children at home. Thanks to anyone with information. |

Yes, on a case-by-case basis Korea will consider and sometimes issue a family-size waiver. You would have to check with the agency you would like to work with, and you usually need to have a child identified before the waiver can be requested. And some agencies will only ask for waivers for SN children who have been waiting for some time.

I would ask. we got a family size waiver from korea for our girls but they were WC (SN). It cant hurt to ask although i have never heard of one for a non-sn child except for sibling calls.
It cant hurt to ask but my hunch is you will have to go the WC route (which is a great route to take btw!)
