Hi All,

We applied for Sam's COC right before the rates changed in July. USCIS cashed the check which I thought was a good sign, but we still haven't received it. Was wondering if anyone who recently applied could give me an idea how long it took them to receive theirs. Thanks.

Sharon - we were told it could take up to a year to get it but we received it four months later! Hopefully it won't take long........

We applied within a month before the rates went up and we received our paperwork in the next month and have an appt. to pick up our COC on Oct. 2nd. I think it greatly depends on which office you are using though. We are going through the St. Louis office.

Thanks for the help...everybody. If anyone else knows, I'd love to hear it. I'm hoping we get it soon. I happened to see my SW this past weekend and was mentioning it to her. She said about 8 weeks from the time you send it in, but she would get me a contact number if I needed it.

We got his COC on Tuesday. He got a little flag and a book with a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. They kept his green card. I wish I would have known they would snatch that. I would have copied it. He was so little and adorable in that picture. I guess they really mean it when it reads on the back that the US government owns that card! They totally repoed it!!!

I just mailed in my daughter's today (It took FOUR months to receive her birth certificate after the adoption was finalized--ugh). I emailed our USCIS office and asked the turnaround time, and she said to expect a couple of months.
Hopefully you'll receive it soon!
