We're finalized!!!
Katie's finalization was yesterday morning. While waiting, Ryan got scared when somebody opened up the door right in front of him which sent him screaming to Daddy and Mommy. So for the next few minutes we were trying to calm him down. When the Judge came out into the waiting area, he said to Ryan "so Ryan are you the one who is making all this noise??". Ryan quieted down after that.
In the courtroom, things didn't go smoothly either. When the Judge was verifying her name and there was no last name on the form but the form that our lawyer submitted into court was fine. Somebody typing in the document messed up. So we didn't get any paperwork when we left court but we're finalized. We thanked our lawyer and the Judge afterwards and took some pictures. The Judge was rushed for time so we didn't get to take a picture of us with the judge and lawyer but we got a family photo with my parents, Jeff's parents, the judge, and the 4 of us. After spending some time at home and opening up gifts, we took everyone out to lunch at a nearby restaurant. After that it was on to get family photos with Santa. This was something we did last year with Ryan as well so now it's a bit of a tradition I guess. Well gotta go since the whole family is sick and I'm freezing at the moment. Jen
