It's a girl!
DH and I are just so excited we can hardly contain ourselves!
 We actually received the referral last Wednesday, but I wanted to wait until I could scan in the pics to show her off to everyone  We have decided to name her Micaela.Our SW said it could be another 7-8 months before she is escorted here -- I certainly hope it is not that long since she is already 7 months old... Ah, dang. I'm having problems getting the files to be small enough that the system will let me upload them -- so far the only one that will work is the pic when she was about one month old. I will have to work on this more tomorrow to include some of the four-month pictures, too! Melissa

Thanks, everyone! It still seems so surreal to me.
I'm not sure why our SW put forth such a long date for her to be escorted over here. I know she had been saying for a while that the climate is really changing and that nothing is like it had been in the past in terms of the timing of things. Maybe she is just giving us the worst-case scenario and that Micaela will really be here by August? I hope that is the case, but for my sanity, I will still keep looking at the longer-range picture. But I gotta do my part and make sure that the paperwork that is left to do gets done quickly! Micaela will be our first child. We were open to either gender. I was expecting a boy because we had heard that there were quite a few boys available for adoption; needless to say, we were very surprised to to be told that it was a girl. I got the pictures to work, so here are some of her 4-month shots.  Melissa
