Hello everyone! It's been a month since our last roll call - where are you now? Have you made progress on your home study? Made a choice regarding which agency to go through? Marked off one more month on your 'I'm waiting' calendar? Are those beautiful babies that are already home walking or getting new teeth? It's time for a new roll call!

As usual (since I'm the mouthy one around here!), I'll start...

We're one month closer to getting the second part of our application from our agency. We've also gotten all of our poodle's shots updated but haven't gotten the nerve to take our cats in yet (the cats are 14 and 12 years old... haven't been to the vet in about 10 years and never leave the house... I'm a little worried about getting them into the pet carrier!) Later this week we're going to take some pictures of the outside of the house, which always looks so pretty in the spring. Just counting down until the end of June!

We are waiting for Visa approval which I expect we will receive in the next fews weeks.
Also- So Young turns 8 months old this month. Come home soon baby girl!

We are still waiting for our referral...it is taking a bit longer than we were quoted but we are hanging in there and hoping we hear something soon! We are just so excited to see our daughter's face for the first time. Here's to good news this week for everyone! Mandy

Luckily my daughter turns 4 today and her party is this weekend, so I have a lot to keep my mind off of obsessing about a referral!

Starting to get some things together that I know we'll need, like income tax returns and birth certificates.

Nowhere too exciting for us! Just one more month of waiting (until we start more waiting. lol) down! We had planned on getting started mid-August, but this weekend we started talking about starting sooner - just a few things we want to get done around the house before a homestudy, so we'll see how quickly we can move on those things!!

Last week, we were told by our agency that we are next in line for the next available healthy infant. They receive their referrals every one to two weeks so we are hoping it is just a matter of days before we get ours. Here's hoping that I am posting referral pictures very shortly.

CJ just turned 18 mos & continues to have sleep issues. Her lower corner incisors just popped through in the last few days, & she can almost say "mama" . It's still kinda "growel speak", but it's progress & very cute! Here's a pic of her being upset that the cement chute can not be used as a slide.

We had our FBI fingerprints done last week. Our social worker comes this Thursday for our one required visit to update our homestudy. We've been busy getting our medicals done, getting references and getting letters from the pediatrician and veteranarian.

Hopefully the homestudy write up won't take too long since it's only an update this time!

Our homestudy was finally finished last Tuesday, so we are getting closer. I sent our I-600A application in a few weeks ago, but got it back in the mail last week. Seems as though I missed the section that explained that the US Dept. of Immigration doesn't accept personal checks. So after stopping by the credit union for a cashiers check, our application was back in the mail...I'm hoping this time I haven't missed anything. That's about it for now.

Our first son, adopted a day before his five-month birthday, will be three in June. He talks a lot, makes up songs, sings his ABCs, and counts to 20. He loves all sports and Thomas the Tank Engine. Our second son came home February 6 of this year at 5.5 months. He will be 8 months old this Friday and is wearing 18 month clothes . My boys adore each other. Adopting our second son was the second best decision we made (adopting our first was the first best decision we made). Best wishes to everyone with every step of your journey.

We received our travel call on April 13th. Andrew will be escorted home this Saturday, April 22nd. Hooray!! It has been a rollar coaster journey.

We got our referral last week and finished all the paperwork and sent it to the agency to get our I-600 and whatnot. Now we WAIT again...seems like immigration is the only thing holding us up!
