OT world carnival Korean booth
Hi,
I jumped over from the China board to ask for some help. At my sons preschool we have a world carnival. I have been asked to head up the Korean booth. As an adoptive mom from China I try to be extra sensitive and correct when I am teaching about another culture. So if anyone wants to give me adive I would love the help. So far I have; 1-a craft for the kids-make their own game of Yut with wide popcycle sticks they decorate on one side and a print out to explain the game. 2-food- I am planning on several dishes to include polgogi, sevral fresh Kimchi and a "winter" Kimchi and rice. 3- a stamp for the kids passports- all I have been able to find is an asian style fan. I am unsure of table decorations, music, if there is something else I need to find a way to include. It's really a great event and I hope to do a good job interducing the kids to Korea. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks, Diana |
