I can't believe it still!!! It was like 9:10 am and I was at work when the agency called me and she really threw me for a loop when she said this was a good call! Our baby boy is coming home for good on TUESDAY - the 6th! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mind was going crazy - calling everyone, thinking about everything we had to do still, etc. It's so exciting - I've been laughing and crying all day! The greatest is seeing the true joy in the faces of our friends, co-workers and families and in their voices as we share our news.

Ok, time to go put together the first floor changing table - so much to do! Tomorrow we install the car seat! Have I mentioned I'm a bit excited???????????

Oh and for those of you counting, it will be 15 weeks from day of referral when Luke comes home and he'll be 5 month and 1 week old!

YEA!!!!!!!!!

So cool! If I could re-do my last days of sleep, I would make more dinners to freeze, gone to dinner with my husband, and double checked the baby proofing from 2 feet & down. Oh, also if you plan to maybe move the crib from the nursery to your room, so you can sleep too, make sure it will fit through the doors before midnight when you have a sleepy/scared/cranky/crying baby. (Yes, I learned that from experience! )

Anyway, enjoy your weekend, try to get some sleep, & take lots of pics. Hope to see updates when your rested again!

CONGRATULATIONS Wow Tuesday will be here before you know it! If I had my one day to do again...well I had to straighten things up at work so I wouldn't change much, but if I had the weekend I definitely would have eaten out with the Mr. We went out to eat for the first time tonight since Maddox came home (2 months). It was very nice too. Freeze dinners or have delivery #'s available. I didn't move the crib in, but Maddox has slept good since his 3rd night home (minus the last two nights due to teething). I can't wait to see pictures. Please let us know about your "gotcha day"!

Congratulations!!!! How lovely that he's coming home before the holidays!

If I could do it over I would freeze meals, but looking back I was too scattered and excited to do much more than pack, re-pack, and re-pack again the diaper bag, car, etc. If you have a pack'n'play you might want to set it up next to your bed, just in case. And our son liked to sleep with LOTS of blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals because that was what he was used to.

Travel safely, and enjoy every precious moment!

Hey Jackie,

Where in NY are you? Anywhere near the Capitol District?
I'm near Saratoga. Is Luke (love the name!) flying into JFK? If so, they have a pretty nice secluded "hallway" near customs that you'll get to watch him come down the isle, & you can hug & cry all you want, without the entire terminal watching you.
