Travel Call Today!!!!!
I got the call this morning that said our son is traveling home on Thursday! He will arrive at O'Hare at 3:39 p.m. He won't have to deal with customs there so he is ours the moment he comes off the plane!! I'm so excited I can't contain myself!!! I'm going to work to get the sub ready to take over until January!!!!

Thanks everyone!
Does anyone have any suggestions on formula? I keep thinking I should have at least a few cans of something, but I don't know if he's lactose intolerant or what his needs are. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I feel so unprepared for something that I've prepared 6 long years for. It's amazing though! Sherry

We use(d) Nestle Good Start Supreme with DHA & ARA. We did have to mix this with her formula 1/2 & 1/2 for 4 or 5 days to get her used to it, but have had no problems since. Except for introducing her to whole milk, now she doesn't seem to want her formula as much, & we still have 1 week untill she is 1 year.

We also use Nestle Good Start Supreme. Our boy is a good eater, so he didn't have any formula left when he got off the plane. We had to switch him cold turkey to the Nestle, and he did have loose stools for a few days because of the switch. We bought soy and milk (just in case) and the paperwork he came with said he was on milk.

How do you decide what to use if you've never been a mom before??? I would have no clue. I'm planning on asking our international pediatrician what to feed Luke when he comes. If he comes off the plane with stuff, great, if not I need something until we can get to the doctor to see what he wants him on. Am I thinking wrongly?? And milk?? I thought babies weren't supposed to have milk until a year old? But Korea feeds the babies milk?

Most babies are on formula, so don't panick about the milk thing. Cady came home at 8 mos eating cheese, so I wasn't too worried about a milk allergy. I just started introducing milk a little at a time, but she is still mostly on formula. She turns 1 next week. I have noticed that when I make her night bottle 1/2 & 1/2, she sleeps better, but she is also getting over a cold too, so that is helping too. When I discussed formula with my ped. before Cady came home, he was comfortable with any of the name brands that were within our price range. Our agency recomended soy formula, but I have issues with soy, (I don't think it's all it's cracked up to be, & it smells really nasty). And by mixing her formula, she adjusted quite well.

Well I'm all packed and I bought some soy formula and some milk formula. I figure I can exchange whichever I don't open. I'm off to bed. It will take us 5 hours to get to O'Hare as we are right outside of St. Louis. I hope it goes by fast! Thank you all for the support
