referrals
Hi - can you tell me what happens if you receive a referral and you turn it down? Will you be offered another child eventually?

The basic answer is "yes". You'll want to discuss your reasons with your SW. If it is due to medical conditions/unknowns you weren't open to, then definitely, or even if something just strikes you as wrong.
HOWEVER, if it is a reason such as you were really hoping for a girl (and you can't specify gender) or you just don't like the picture - the agency will most likely REALLY frown upon that and I'm not sure what would happen in that case. Also watch for timing things...if you are waiting too long, you'll need to get re-fingerprinted and maybe even file a new I600.
