I have just mailed in or INS I-600A! Doues anyone know about how long it is taking in Michigan for an approval? Last year it was down to about 2 months. We also mailed in all of our documents to our agency. It took us less than a week to get all papers filled out, pictures taken and physicals completed. I think we have this down to a science! Now, comes the hard part, the waiting! I am still very very excited to have this part of the process done!

I think we are getting to the point of relaxing! We have almost got everything we need to mail out to AIAA. We are waiting on pictures to come back. All we need to have done is the homestudy update and INS. Do you remember how long it took to get your I600-A from the INS? We hope it won't be more than 2 months, shprter would be great!

How goes it with your adoption of Maria? I hope things are starting to move for you and your family. Any news on traveling? Keep me posted.

No new news. We now consider it good news if the July 14 date does not get changed again. : ) I know I want to travel to get her home as soon as possible. I'm not yet sure if we'll do that. I recently found an internet friend who adopted from Romania through our agency. I hope to talk to her soon to see how her travel went. Thanks for your continued interest!

As to INS times, what state are you in? Time can vary greatly depending on the efficiency of the INS office you must use. In Ohio, 2 months is a good estimate. The fingerprints take the LONGEST. Ohio INS is very efficient and timely otherwise.

Do you have your update scheduled with your social worker?
