I just got a call from the state of Ky this morning and my birthmom has consented. I'm so excited. I found out she only lives 2 min from me. And she works at a place I shop all the time. I have a brother and a sister. She has my phone number and name now. She said she was scared that I would reject her if I knew about her back ground. I told my case worker that everyone has skeletons in their closets and that the past is the past. I almost gave up my search but now I glad I didn't. My new year so far is turning out great. For all adoptees looking don't give up, you never know your family could be right in your own back yard. Suzanne

Congrats, I am so glad that you posted this. Myself and my coworker did your search and I saw you on this website several times with postings but I could for obvious reasons not assist you in your help. It is great to here that it all turned out for you. We are very happy to hear great and happy endings and it just makes us want to continue to do our job at the best of our abilities. How long did it take for you to hear something back from the state after you got your court order? Wow, that's really something! She lived 2 minutes away from you this whole time! I'm so happy for you!
