Hello,
My family and I are looking into international adoption. We are in the process of gathering all the facts and deciding on a country. I am attracted to both the Ethiopia programs and the Kaz programs. We are wanting a program that would be on the quick side and not create a lot of travel.
I am looking into Christian World adoption for Kaz and WACAP for Ethiopia. Does anyone out there have any experience with these agencies and countries? Thanks in advance for your responses. Please PM me.

If you're not interested in a lot of travel then I would stay away from Kaz. Some regions now require 3 or 4 trips and even if you made just one trip it would require a stay of 6-8wks minimum. I would recommend looking into Ethiopia or perhaps South Korea.

You also might want to go with an agency that has multiple programs. That is what we did when we were assessing for our first adoption!

I agree with Heather; working with an agency that has multiple programs (that you would be comfortable changing to if necessary) is a good move. We switched from Russia to Kaz and it was a smooth transition since it was the same agency. There is prolonged travel and you will need to have the "go with the flow" attitude while traveling. Some positives are that you can bond with your child on their turf, see your child's birthcountry and experience living in it, and take back with you a sense of history that you can share with your child. I am in the process of adopting from Kaz and it has a LOT of travel. It is also rather expensive due to the amount and length of travel and certain fees.
