What type of clothes to pack for Kaz in September

Hi,
I was wondering what the weather would be like in September in Kazakhstan. I'm trying to plan what type of clothes to pack for approximately that time frame. I live in Indiana and was wondering if the weather would be similar, temperature wise. Thanks!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip!

I didn't travel until November, but I kept track of the weather forecasts and reviewed what the weather was like at my time last year at Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground. Below is the address I copied (not sure why it didn't create a link)-- this will bring you to a page for Sept 15, 2007.. It gives you the highs, lows and average temps.. My impression is that while Kaz weather follows generally what our seasons are like, but the highs and lows are much more extreme. It is hot this week-- highs in the upper 90's..

Pack in layers.
We were in Astana Aug/Sept 2006. Aug was hot, Sept started to cool off and was more rainy. We needed to wear a coat and long pants more often when we went out. The Baby House was always hot (and they frown on opening windows because of drafts) so a t-shirt was best if you were inside.
Good Luck.
