My agency closed
We received word last week that our agency has closed. We still have two post placements to do with the social worker (who is not affiliated with the adoption agency, just our home study agency). The social worker sent the report to the adoption agency and they sent it to Kaz. How do I send in the post placements, and how do I know what they already sent in? Also who should pay to have it apostilled? We prepaid for all post placement visits. Thanks for the input.

I would start with your social worker. I'm sure she can probably figure it out for you. If that doesn't help I would call one of the BIG Kaz agencies and see if they can help you. Its in everyone's interest to make sure you're able to get in your post placements so I imagine they'll help. But, I do think you're probably stuck paying for everything.

I agree your social worker should be able to figure out the logistics.
How frustrating. People so often think it's AP's not doing post placements that cause the problems in Kaz but I think it's more situations like this where agencies close and leave the clients with no info like has happened to you. Hope you get some answers soon.

Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007

The first place when the papers goes is to the Ministry of foreign affairs. You must call to the Ministry in Astana. Its web Http://portal.mfa.kz/portal/page/por...t/news/nws2008
