Adoption Announcements
We leave in 4 days to pick up our son in Kaz.. this will be a short trip only one week...
What has some of you done for Adoption announcements? We plan on getting his pic's done by a friend who is a photographer but probably not right away.. any suggestions or web sites you would reccommend Jen Yeah!!! we are almost done...

I am actually using these at my shower and are not strictly for adoption, but I found little passports at a stationary store called "Papyrus".. They come in baby blue or a raspberry pink, and they are very cute.. May be on the expensive side, however, depending on how many you have to send out..

My mother made our announcement from a greeting card program. I had taken a cute pic of him right after we got home and had them printed at walmart ($30 for 80 pics).

I ordered some adorable announcements from Mandysmoon. Reasonably priced and original.
I sent a picture and then on one side was the Kaz flag and the other the American flag and then I wrote what I wanted it to say.

Two boys (5 and 7) Feb 05 to Aug 06 unsuccessful in Russia August 06, changing countries (paperchasing) Oct 06 dossier sent to agency Nov 06 dossier made it through the Embassy, now it's on its way to Kaz!! Dec 06 dossier at the first Ministry (MFA) Jan 06 dossier now at second Ministry (MOE) One more to go.....that's the regional one Still hoping for LOI (letter of invitation) in Jan Jan 31---dossier still at MOE, no LOI in Jan  Feb 16--We know our region--Karaganda Kaz. Last step in the process--wait for LOI March 15 07--received LOI Left for Kaz March 21 Paperwork glitch but decided to stay while it was handled (hence the long time between leaving for trip and court) Court May22, 2007
