We are headed to Almaty!
We found out today that we will be going to Almaty. We were referred a little boy. He is ethnic Kazak and is about 9 months old. Our agency is still waiting for exact dates but they think we should travel at the end of April.

You're post flooded me with memories. A year ago this week we were packing to make our trip to meet our nine month old son. Although we weren't in Almaty our whole trip (we spent 4 weeks in Kostanai/Rudnyy) I'd be happy to tell you about some places to see in Almaty or things to do. Mostly I just wanted to wish you luck...
