photolisting

I have heard a lot of conflicting information about photolistings. I was just curious, as to how many people ended up adopting the child photolisted and how many people ended up losing the child they had desired through a photolisting?? I have been told that when this occurs it is usually an infant that is lost. If you lost a photolisted child, how old was that child?? If you were able to adopt the child from the photolisting, how old were they?? Thanks!! Martha

Did you lose the 5 year old because of an "in country" adoption, or do you know the circumstances?? Just wondering. Thanks Martha

did you pay agency fee?

Hi,
did you pay money to hold your child? Were you promised that they would be there for you or did your agency tell you that they couldn't hold the child?
Did you get any sympathy from the agency?
Just how realistic is it to adopt from a photolisting?
Could you PM me who your agency was?
We look at the photolisting, but don't want to start a process for a child that doesn't exist. We are hoping to adopt late next year an older child around 10 years.
What are your thoughts on photolistings? We do not what to travel blind and would like a face and info on the child.
thank you for you help!

p.s.--sorry about your loss....it just isn't right!

Photolisting

We found our daughter on the photolisting, and 4 1/2 months later had her home! I'm convinced it was fate! She was 2 1/2 when we got her.

Good Luck,
Kristi
