Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me what is going on with Angels? We rec'd email today stating Alla was gone & Larissa was taking her place. I'm know stressing - wondering if this is good news or bad. Has anyone else recv'd info etc? Does anyone have knowledge of Larissa & the way she works with parents?

I got an e-mail yesterday regarding reassignment of our facilitator. What's going on with Yunona? We were with Elina and now are reassigned to Valeri. We couldn't find anything on her. Anyone else getting reassignments?

I have heard that the Workers are giving out too much information on the Kids!

Are you talking about the referral and photolisting stuff? At what point are they giving out information on the children?

I received Medical info on Daughter with a video. My Facilitator has said that they are not allowed to do this?

I see. How did you get a video? Do you have a child chosen already? I was never given any information on ANY child. My understanding with an open contract is that we go and choose the child ourselves AFTER seeing them. No videos...nada. I couldn't figure this out with their website. They have all these photolistings - their process specifically states that the parents are given two choices - choose from the list or go for open contract (pick child in person). So, shouldn't it only affect the ones that have chosen a child from the photolisting?

I received Medical report and a Video at the very beginning.

I know someone who started the process in January 2003. She/Her Family, and the child have been able to write and send pictures to each other.

Before the 'Hoopla' this summer. They were scheduled to travel in July. She left alone in September, and I don't think she is back yet. It is my understanding that if married both spouses need to make bonding part of the trip? She was told she could go alone?

Okay, I missed that one Julianna...what HOOPLA went on this summer? I was told my husband and I can go together for a one 4-6 week trip. We plan on doing this still. Are you trying to say that it now takes 8-9 months????? I'm counting on leaving in January. We thought we were on the fast role and everything was going smoothly....until all this reassignment stuff. Have you heard anything about any changes in the KZ adoption laws?

Apparently big shake up w/at least 4 Directors hitting the streets. I don't know what is going on. But am worried about my money. And today I also learned that the boy we had put a hold on had already been adopted. Good for him , but I am heart broken.

I just read on another board that Yunona has collapsed & no longer has a Kaz program. Is this just a rumor?

Yes, a BIG WRONG RUMOR. They are still alive and kicking.

I'm new to the board but am glad to finally find people going through the same thing as my wife and I. We were with Alla until a couple of days ago when we received the same info mentioned above..

everything was going great...plans all made, My wife and I bought our tickets to Kazakhstan, are taking time off work for 4 weeks starting on 11-17. Today we received information from the new facilitator that, oh by the way, your child's visa will not be available until 2+ weeks AFTER the court hearing. This is completely contrary to all information that we have been given up to this point!! Now it seems that we are not going to be able to complete the process during this trip and will have to make a second trip later to bring our child back. This will add thosands of dollars to our costs in airfare, time off work, etc..

I'm beyond frustrated and feel like this whole situation is crumbling all around us.

I spoke to some facilitator this evening and she said there is some new reglation where they are not releasing the child's passport until at least 2 weeks after the court date. She says this ha changed within the last few days. Does anyone know anything about this??

We were working with Lena and have just gotten reassigned to Vinola. We are also close to traveling and this change in travel time and problems with Yunona has really had us worried. It is hard to have a plan for the past eleven months and have everything change so suddenly. The idea that i got was that some of the subsidiaries were not happy with procedures so I belive it was 6 of them that stopped working with Yunona. You get contrasting stories depending on who you talk to. Good Luck to everyone with their adoptions.

My husband and I were also working with Lena to Vinola then to Elina. We feel we have been told many things incorrectly! My husband is overseas currently and cannot spend the two weeks bonding time...we were told this was okay as long as he was here for court. I am beginning to feel we were told certain things to get us to sign a contract. At this point we are undecided if we will be able to finish thru with the adoption because of changes made. If anyone else is having problems please feel free to contact me.
